GRDA boosts 407GXi with camera, searchlight and mapping
The Grand River Dam Authority is an agency of the state of Oklahoma created to control, develop and maintain the Grand River waterway. A TLX searchlight from Trakka will increase its ability to carry out the work.
Trakka Systems is extremely pleased that the Total Solution Package was chosen to support GRDA on its demanding utility inspections and waterway missions.

The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has purchased a Trakka Total Solution Package for the Bell 407GXi. Trakka's unparalleled Total Mission Solution Package consists of the TrakkaCam SWE-400 Quad gyro-stabilised surveillance camera, the sophisticated multispectral TrakkaBeam TLX Searchlight and TrakkaMaps TM-100 moving map/ video management system. The Grand River Dam Authority is an agency of the state of Oklahoma created to control, develop and maintain the Grand River waterway. Created by the Oklahoma state legislature in 1935 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, GRDA was designed to be self-funding from the sales of electricity and water.

The TrakkaCam SWE-400 Quad multi-purpose, stabilised, multispectral imaging system allows utility and environmental operators to measure temperatures in real-time, detect Corona discharges and capture high-definition video and mega-pixel digital still photos from an airborne platform. For stable, long-range imaging, a fully digital four-axis active gyro stabilisation system compensates for aircraft manoeuvring and eliminates external vibrations.

TrakkaBeam's TLX is the latest generation of searchlights. The TLX is inertially stabilised for enhanced performance and ease of use. Utilising a unique Xenon technology, Trakka's TLX systems provide an efficient and more intense beam from the centre to the edges. The aerodynamic and lightweight design eliminates the need for a counterweight, even with side-mounted systems. Up to six different filters can be selected in less than one second; covert IR illumination (for assets with NVG), visible red, green or amber and white light options. The TLX is DO-160G certified & DO-178 compliant.

TM-100 is a full-featured mission mapping and video management system that can run on various computer platforms, including notebooks and ruggedised laptops. The affordable and flexible architecture is easily customisable with open-source and proprietary secure databases. Designed to integrate with TrakkaCam cameras and TrakkaBeam searchlights, the TM-100 can slew the camera and searchlight's line of sight to any point on the map with the touch of the screen, mouse click, address, intersection, city, points of interest or coordinate entries. The TM-100's intuitive touchscreen controls offer 3D, street, satellite and custom map views, with augmented reality overlays on live video imagery.

Trakka Systems is extremely pleased that the Total Solution Package was chosen to support GRDA on its demanding utility inspections and waterway missions. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to delivering exceptional products while providing outstanding customer service,” says Adam Boniecki, business development manager at Trakka Systems.
