Global Aviation takes delivery of spacious Challenger
The Challenger 605 that Global Aviation has acquired has a larger than normal payload, enabling it to accommodate an extra passenger. The company believes it will be highly effective for coast to coast missions.
Global Aviation's Challenger 605 joins a fleet comprising a Gulfstream V, Hawker 800SP, Hawker 800XP, Learjet 70 and Learjet 35.

Global Aviation, based in the Pacific Northwest, has added a Challenger 605 to its fleet. The large cabin aircraft’s paint and interior were completely refurbished in 2018 and the cabin seats up to 12 passengers, offering free domestic WIFI and an enclosed lavatory. Based at Global Aviation’s facility at Portland-Hillsboro Airport (KHIO), the CL605 is immediately available for charter.

CEO Flo Newton Merlo says: “The addition of the Challenger 605 to our fleet will further our availability and luxurious accommodations for elite business travellers. We’re excited to invite prospective clients to experience this comfortable and upscale travel experience.”

The company's fleet also includes a Gulfstream V, a Hawker 800SP, a Hawker 800XP, a Learjet 70 and a Learjet 35. It is on the hunt for a King Air 350, Falcon 900 and a Global Express XRS to meet its client's diverse needs.

Director of marketing and business development Samantha Butero adds: "The Challenger has an enlarged galley, creating a more workable space for both passengers and flight attendants. It also has a larger passenger area with an increased payload, and is able to accommodate one more passenger than a standard spec aircraft as a result. Longer range means that we can increase our options for coast to coast travel.

"We are always on the lookout for aircraft to add to our charter capabilities, to ensure our clientele have the best aircraft available for their missions."
