Waypoint Leasing places H135 helicopter with ALT in Germany

Waypoint Leasing (Ireland) Limited, the largest independent global helicopter leasing company, announced today that it recently completed a lease transaction for one H135 helicopter to ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH (ALT) in Germany to be used for pilot training. The lease transaction marks Waypoint's seventh H135 delivery, as well as its first transaction with ALT.

Simon Dahm, Waypoint's Vice President of Sales & Relationship Management, Europe, said, “We are pleased to complete our first transaction with ALT, an important new customer for Waypoint with whom we are delighted to partner. This transaction is representative of our continued fleet diversification and ability to support operators in a wide range of industrial-focused missions, including pilot training.”

Thomas Hütsch, CEO of ALT said, “Waypoint's technical and operational experience were of great value to our team in sourcing this aircraft. They were able to move thoughtfully and quickly to provide us with the aircraft we needed in a tight timeframe. Waypoint's strong relationship with Airbus Helicopters was evident in the execution of this transaction, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”

Since its inception in 2013, Waypoint has been active in supporting oil and gas, utility, firefighting and other industrial-focused helicopter operators. Waypoint's portfolio includes more than 160 aircraft for more than 35 customers in 33 countries with total assets in excess of $1.6 billion. Additionally, Waypoint has firm and option orders with aircraft manufacturers for more than 70 helicopters valued at more than $750 million, to be delivered over the next four years.
