Dassault to highlight Falcon business jet lineup at ABACE 2014

Dassault will feature the top of the line Falcon 7X, the long range Falcon 900LX and the new Falcon 2000LX/S twinjets at the Asian Business Aviation & Exhibition (ABACE), which will be held at Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport from April 15-17. Also on display at the event will be a Falcon 5X cabin experience that will highlight the impressive cabin dimensions of Dassault's newest business jet.

“ABACE is a terrific event for Dassault Falcon Jet, a great opportunity for customers and future prospects to come out and see our full line of aircraft,” said John Rosanvallon, president and ceo of Dassault Falcon Jet. “We also use this event to strengthen our relationships with local operators and, business aviation professionals and Chinese officials that are critical to ensure healthy market growth in the years to come.”

The long-range 5,950 nm Falcon 7X is the most popular Falcon in China, with nearly 30 in service and a healthy backlog of additional aircraft to be delivered. China is the second largest market for the tri-jet, after the United States. The Falcon 7X can connect Shanghai directly with destinations throughout the entire Asia Pacific region as well as most of the Middle East, Europe and the Western United States.

“Chinese customers have a true appreciation of technology, elegant design and safety, which has helped build a solid reputation and a loyal customer base for the Falcon 7X in China,” continued Rosanvallon. “We're also starting to see a China that is more environmentally aware, and that is expected to generate further increased demand for Falcon aircraft. Dassault has been designing and building aircraft with low fuel consumption and carbon emission levels for over 30 years. In fact, Dassault builds the most environmentally-friendly jets on the planet.

Falcon Business Jets and the China Market

The Dassault Falcon line includes four in production large-cabin models the –tri-jet Falcon 7X and Falcon 900LX and the new twin-jet Falcon 2000S and Falcon 2000LXS, certified in 2013. These models share a number of common features, including large and comfortable cabin interiors, efficient and economical performance and advanced technology derived from Dassault's military experience.

The 3,350 nm Falcon 2000S is the new entry level jet in the Falcon family. Equipped with a full slate of standard features, including upgraded EASy II avionics, FalconCabin HD+ entertainment system and a brand new fixed-configuration cabin designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the Falcon 2000S brings large cabin comfort to the super mid-size segment.

The 4,000 nm Falcon 2000LXS combines the short field performance of the 2000S with the longer range capabilities of the 2000LX. Featuring the same inboard slats and winglets as the 2000S model, the aircraft has a balanced field length of 4,675 ft (SL, ISA) at 42,800 lb of MTOW, and offers the same exceptional landing performance as the Falcon 2000S.

Built on the Falcon 900EX EASy platform, the Falcon 900LX features a pair of high-mach blended winglets that help reduce aircraft drag as much as 5%. The winglets help make the Falcon 900LX the most efficient airplane in its class, with a fuel burn up to 40% lower than competing aircraft. They also reduce climb to cruise time - at Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW), the Falcon 900LX can reach FL390 (39,000 feet) in just 20 minutes, – and contribute to short-field performance.

The Dassault Falcon chalet will be located at Chalet 12.
