Universal Paris staff beat blaze crisis
Universal Aviation's Paris FBO, which has provided "business as usual" services for weeks despite serious fire damage, is on track to operate from fully restored facilities in April. Sandrine Jackson, manager Universal Aviation, Paris, says: "The operations office and the main lobby suffered the greatest damage in the January fire with no damage to the hangar or upstairs offices. The facility continued to handle flights and performed standard day-to-day operations throughout the ordeal, immediately setting up a back-up operations office, re-establishing phone and computer connectivity within 48 hours and soliciting the support of 'neighbours' and the local airport authority to ensure clients' needs continued to be met despite the facility's damage."

She adds: "Clean up and restoration is well under way, with the expectation that everything will be completely restored by early April. I can't tell you how proud we are of our people, of our team. It was total commitment to the client that continued to motivate us to come together and do whatever it took to continue to meet their needs."

Jonathan Howells, U.K.-based regional director, Europe, Middle East and Africa says: "I would like to personally thank all of our clients who have shown great understanding over the past couple of months and great commitment to the Paris team."
