Thirty business aircraft expected to be on show at expanded Farnborough
Around 30 business aircraft are expected to be displayed at this year's Farnborough International Air Show, which takes place from July 17 to 23. Around 30 business aircraft are expected to be displayed at this year's Farnborough International Air Show, which takes place from July 17 to 23.

The Business Aircraft Park dedicated display area has encour-aged more aircraft manufacturers to bring their aircraft to Farnborough. Others, including Cessna, who return to Farnborough after a prolonged absence, have elected to locate in the main display area.

Those wishing to view as many business aircraft as possible, should visit the show in the first three days - Monday July 17 to Wednesday July 19 - when the Business Aircraft Park area is operational.

First-time show visitors include the Piaggio Avanti II, which is being shown by UK distributors Sloane Aviation. EBAN readers will also be able to find out more about Piaggio's second generation Avanti in our September issue, when our technical editor Malcolm Wright reports on his recent test flight at Piaggio's Genoa Italy factory.

US based Jetran International and brokers Wentworth Affiliates are displaying a vip Boeing 727.

European business aviation manufacturers will be represented by the popular Pilatus PC12, located in the main part of the display area, as well as by the Avanti II.

Dassault will be showcasing the Falcon 900 and 2000 jets. Unfortunately the Falcon 7X will not be present, due to the tight schedule of the test flight programme.

With Farnborough Airport fast becoming the location of choice for many of the world's major business aviation companies, and a number of OEM's establishing sales bases at TAG's new facility, the Farnborough International event is well placed to profit from this enhanced activity.

The main show site is a sell out and exhibitor numbers are up some 15 per cent from 2004.
