Flowair plans for 'inexpensive' Twin Stars
French charter operator Flowair has acquired a third King Air C-90B and plans to take on another three aircraft this year to cater for the charter, air ambulance and human organ transportation services it currently offers.

French charter operator Flowair has acquired a third King Air C-90B and plans to take on another three aircraft this year to cater for the charter, air ambulance and human organ transportation services it currently offers.

Transporting human organs for hospitals provides the company with the bulk of its business throughout the year, according to general manager Franck Alpanes.

Later this year, Flowair hopes to acquire two or three Diamond DA42 Twin Stars, which will be based in Angers, Cannes and Pau, in France. Its other aircraft are currently based at Bron and Grenoble.

Each aircraft is managed by the company and generally flies 100 hours per year. Flowair acquired this latest King Air in January 2006 and it is already operating charter flights around Europe. The previous two aircraft joined the company in 2005.

"The King Air is the best aircraft for business flights and is the best compromise for price and speed. We like the DA42s because they are small, inexpensive and well-equipped for flights withup to two passengers."
