Spain-based Euroairlines has introduced its new Cessna 421C Golden Eagle at Cuatro Vientos airport in Madrid.

The 421C is a twin-engine aircraft that can reach a top speed of 475km/h and a cruise speed of 444km/h. It boasts a range of more than 2,000km and will, says the company, be able to reach north Africa with six passengers on board. The Cessna 421C joins a fleet that already includes a four seat, 2,700km range Beechcraft Baron G58.

“We are excited to introduce our new Cessna 421C, an aircraft that increases our fleet, allows access to new routes and multiplies our offer. With this aircraft we can offer a customised and more efficient flight experiences, reduced pricing, increased range, payload and complexity,” says CEO Antonio Lopez Lazaro.

While the Baron Beechcraft has a longer range, it also has a smaller passenger capacity than the Cessna and has mostly been used in cargo service on shorter routes. With the Cessna 421C, Euroairlines will be crossing continents for the first time. Specifically, the aircraft will operate routes to Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, which gives Euroairlines a service offering to nearly 30 destinations.
