In the wake of COP28's conclusion, Luxaviation Group is to make a bold acceleration of its efforts towards decarbonising its operations no later than 2030. Recognising that carbon offsetting, while a step in the right direction, is an imperfect solution, the company is adopting a holistic and aggressive approach to sustainability.

In addition to ongoing initiatives such as electrifying its ground handling equipment and integrating sustainability at the core of its operations, Luxaviation is proud to introduce the 'Go-to-Zero' Investment Fund, dedicated to empowering new technologies, including renewable energy sustainable aviation fuels.

CEO Patrick Hansen says: "Throughout the group we are investing every effort to understand and reduce our carbon footprint. At the same time, we support developments in new technologies, driving the reduction of carbon emissions. We are fully conscious of the fact that transporting people in general, and flying clients to destinations worldwide in particular, requires thorough actions today."

Luxaviation acknowledges that such an ambitious objective cannot be achieved in isolation. It is, therefore, extending an invitation to other key players in the private aviation sector to join this effort. Through collective action and the formation of an alliance, it aims to reach a critical mass that will expedite its journey towards this significant goal.

"The outcomes of COP28 served as a catalyst for our decisive action," continues Hansen. "We are confident that our clients and partners will embrace this move and actively participate in the alliance, helping us achieve net-zero carbon emissions faster than anticipated."

Alongside this, Luxaviation will integrate Azzera's Online Carbon Credit Marketplace within its charter travel management application. Azzera will craft custom carbon credit portfolios focused on the operator's international operations and core values. In addition, all credits will be carefully assessed with The Azzera Impact Scoring methodology, which evaluates each project's crucial financial and technical achievements and guarantees impactful environmental action.

Hansen says: "The collaboration with Azzera enables us to take significant strides in our sustainability journey, providing our clients with both superior and responsible services, which remains our first priority. Azzera's innovative digital solutions are integrated with the Luxaviation software, enabling quick access to emissions mitigation of flights."

Since its launch in September 2022, the Luxaviation platform has promoted increased efficiency by facilitating the booking of empty leg flights and promotes increased efficiency by facilitating the use of SAF. And now, with exclusive access to Azzera's Online Marketplace, clients can make more informed decisions about their environmental impact.

"Our collaboration with Luxaviation symbolises our shared vision for a more sustainable future in aviation," says Azerra CEO and co-founder Puja Mahajan. "Through this strategic partnership, we are providing comprehensive and innovative solutions designed not only to compensate emissions but also to empower Luxaviation's clientele to actively participate in impactful environmental initiatives."
