Hi Fly appoints Efthymiou as CEO
As CEO, Antonios Efthymiou is committed to guiding Hi Fly in the same way that has resulted in the company leading the ACMI field while maintaining the highest levels of safety and passenger satisfaction.

Captain Antonios Efthymiou has been named CEO and accountable manager for Portuguese widebody aircraft wet lease specialist operator Hi Fly.

Chairman of the group Paulo Mirpuri says: "Captain Antonios Efthymiou is now rising to the CEO position after almost 14 years of an outstanding contribution to Hi Fly's success, growth and operational excellence. I am confident that he will continue to take Hi Fly to new heights and keep its trajectory as a prominent player within the aviation industry."

Efthymiou has shown a dedication to the aviation sector since he started his career 38 years ago, having accumulated almost 18,000 flight hours with a significant 15,000 hours as a captain. His journey began in 1985 with Olympic Airways, the Greek flag carrier, where he stayed until the company ceased operations in 2009.

He joined Hi Fly in 2010, where he steadily climbed through the ranks. Previously he held the position of head of flight operations from January 2017 and served as the fleet manager for the company's A340 fleet from November 2014. His expertise extends to a variety of aircraft, as he is type-rated on Airbus A330, A340 and A380 types, where he also takes a role as an instructor and examiner.

Hi Fly is EASA and IOSA certified and FAA approved, with AOCs in Portugal and Malta and a licence to operate globally. Its fleet of Airbus A320, A330 and A340 types are available for wet lease and passenger/cargo charter on short, medium and long-term contracts worldwide.
