DC Aviation marks 25th anniversary at Dubai Airshow
The group will celebrate three anniversaries: 25 years for DC Aviation in Stuttgart, 15 years for DC Aviation Malta and 10 years of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim in Dubai.
The group has a fleet of 30 short, medium and long-haul jets plus large cabin jets.

At the Dubai Airshow, the multinational DC Aviation Group celebrated three anniversaries: 25 years for DC Aviation in Stuttgart, 15 years for DC Aviation Malta and 10 years of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim in Dubai.

“One of our unique strengths is that we are enthusiastic about the things we do, and the result is that we are motivated to achieve our best performance,” says CEO Michael Kuhn. “Our energy derives from our passion, and the passion for quality is embedded within the DC Aviation team.”

The group delivers aircraft management, maintenance, aviation consultancy and business jet charter services and has a fleet of 30 short, medium and long-haul jets plus large cabin jets.

At a special DC Aviation Group anniversary show on 13 November at the airshow, the company introduced its anniversary 280 page book titled Passion for Quality, which includes interviews, cherished memories, achievements and experiences from the foundation of the company to the present.

DC Aviation Malta was founded in 2008 at Malta International airport. The corporate aviation sector in Malta has seen tremendous growth, which is expected to continue for years to come. As the economy of the island continues to grow and diversify, particularly in the service industry where investors do not necessarily have to be based in Malta all the time, travel with business jets to and from the island will increase.

DC Aviation Malta has seen a 15 per cent growth for the past 10 years,” says managing director Stanley Bugeja. “I envision that we can more than double our fleet here in the next two years. I also keep a keen eye on the ongoing challenge of sustainability for the future. We are on the lookout for new opportunities to improve our carbon footprint in every way, and we are using Malta as a case study to learn how we can expand this across our other locations. It is an example of how we aim to start small, but with the goal of going big.”

Established in 2013, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim was the first and only fully integrated business aviation facility based at Dubai’s Al-Maktoum International airport and offers charter, management, MRO and FBO services. This base in the Middle East is a mix of Arabic hospitality and German technological quality, and it has proven to be a win-win situation.

“The demands of the UAE CAA are of the highest standards, and we are delighted to have been able to work closely with it to fully meet its requirements. No demand is too great for us, and no detail is overlooked in our quest to provide the ultimate in luxury travel,” says managing director Holger Ostheimer. “I strongly believe that Al-Maktoum airport is the aerotropolis of the future and a key location in the future growth of business aviation in the Gulf region.”

DC Aviation Group is now setting its sights on a future of growth and expansion, and will continue to embrace innovation and adapt to the evolving needs of its clientele.
