OEMs fly on SAF as Avfuel builds availability and emissions management
The Avfuel Zero programme enables operators to effectively manage and reduce their carbon emissions. The company also supplied Neste MY SAF to Textron and Embraer when they flew in to Las Vegas for NBAA-BACE.
Avfuel Zero will help measure, mitigate, audit and report carbon emissions seamlessly and sustainably.

Avfuel Corporation is developing a groundbreaking programme, Avfuel Zero, designed to empower flight operators to effectively manage and reduce their carbon emissions while promoting sustainability within the business aviation industry.

Avfuel Zero, currently in its beta testing phase, aims to change the way aviation stakeholders address their environmental impact and manage their carbon portfolio. The programme will offer a comprehensive solution for measuring, mitigating, auditing and reporting carbon emissions in a seamless and sustainable manner.

“With Avfuel Zero, we'll be taking the complication out of sustainable aviation operations,” says executive vice president CR Sincock II. “As the entity that directly provides sustainable solutions to operators, we're uniquely qualified to help them identify what their emissions reductions needs are, how to meet those needs and how to report them. By consolidating these services under one Avfuel programme, we'll simplify what has been a complex process. We have operators' end-to-end solutions; no third-party needed.”

Avfuel Zero will offer operators complete flexibility; an experienced team of sustainability experts will be able to either provide support from start to finish or meet operators wherever they are in their sustainability journey. For those looking for the complete solution, Avfuel Zero will begin with an assessment, helping operators accurately measure their carbon emissions from aviation movements, providing them with critical data to fully understand their environmental impact.

From there, Avfuel Zero will help operators create tailored emissions reduction plans, leveraging a wide array of sustainable solutions: SAF, book and claim for SAF and carbon credits. Avfuel Zero will then simplify the process of tracking emissions reductions over time, providing customers with the necessary certifications and detailed, audited reports to demonstrate their commitment to environmental sustainability.

"Responsible environmental stewardship is essential for the future of aviation," says Sincock. "We're confident Avfuel Zero will set a new standard for sustainability in the aviation industry and add another innovative service to the fuel supplier portfolio. It's one more way we're demonstrating our commitment to leading business aviation's sustainability initiative."

The company also supplied SAF to OEMs and FBOs alike ahead of NBAA-BACE. It supplied Neste MY SAF to Textron and Embraer when they flew in to Las Vegas for the business aviation convention. This comes as Avfuel adds a fourteenth location for consistent SAF supply at Atlantic Aviation, the FBO at Stockton Metropolitan airport in California.

“As a fuel supplier, we take our responsibility to further sustainable initiatives incredibly seriously,” says Sincock. “Sustainable aviation fuel is a today solution. We are thankful for partners like Textron Aviation, Embraer and Atlantic Aviation, along with all our SAF-adopting FBO and corporate flight department customers, for embracing the single-most effective solution for aviation emissions reductions. We will continue to look for opportunities to make the fuel more accessible for greater use across business aviation, helping our industry achieve its goal to attain net-zero emissions by 2050.”

While Textron Aviation and Embraer take regularly-scheduled loads of the fuel for its operations, Avfuel worked with the OEMs and Neste to ensure they had ample supply to cut emissions on BACE operations. This included timing Embraer’s delivery to come ahead of BACE earlier this month and an extra truckload delivery to Textron beyond its usual supply.
