Marmor appointed board chair of IADA
Zipporah Marmor and Phil Winters have agreed to assume additional leadership responsibilities at IADA. Marmor becomes the first international broker to lead the organisation in its 30 plus years of existence.
IADA vice chair Phil Winters is VP of aircraft sales and charter management for Western Aircraft.

The International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) has named Zipporah Marmor as chair of the organisation. Phil Winters will become vice chair. Both will serve in their new leadership positions for a year. Marmor replaces outgoing chair David Monacell, a partner in CFS Jets, who becomes IADA eEmeritus.

Montreal, Canada-based ACASS vice president of aircraft transactions Marmor became an active IADA member in 2018 and was made a member of the board in 2020. Her appointment as board chair reflects IADA's confidence in her ability to build on its history of creating and elevating standards for the entire business aviation industry.

“I am honoured and excited to help write the next chapter with IADA as the board chair this year,” she says. “I look forward to working with the top professionals in our industry to further IADA's well-deserved reputation for rigorous broker testing and certification, ethical standards, continuing education and philanthropic endeavours.”

Marmor has 20 years of global business aviation experience spanning sales, management and marketing. Since 2011, she has helped drive ACASS's global expansion and continued growth in increasingly vital capacities.

ACASS has been a proud IADA accredited dealer since 2019. The company is fully committed to upholding and promoting the exemplary standards of service and conduct IADA has established for the business aviation industry.

“The IADA board of directors is delighted that Zipporah Marmor and Phil Winters have agreed to assume additional leadership responsibilities,” says executive director Wayne Starling. “Zipporah will become the first international broker to lead the organisation in its 30 plus years of existence, reflecting our emphasis on global reach. I would also like to extend a thank you to David Monacell for his excellent leadership this past year.”

Incoming vice chair Philip Winters, vice president aircraft sales and charter management for Boise, Idaho-based Western Aircraft, leads new and pre-owned aircraft sales and aircraft management/charter divisions. He has been with the company for 25 years. Western Aircraft is an authorised Piper dealer and the largest authorised Pilatus dealer in the world representing Pilatus with the PC-12 NG and the PC-24. Additionally, it operates an aircraft management division with an FAR Part 135 certificate and multiple aircraft as WestAir Charter.

Chairman emeritus David Monacell is partner in Charlotte, North Carolina-based business aircraft broker CFS Jets, with locations through the US South. He has over 20 years of private aviation sales experience and he has been a partner in CFS Jets since 2013. Throughout his career, he has held senior sales positions with both manufacturers and dealers, representing multiple new product lines.

Other IADA officers for next year include board secretary Toby Smith, vice president of JBA Aviation, who continues in that role. The incoming treasurer is Wheels Up aircraft sales senior vice president John Odegard. In addition, serving as board members at large are Global Wings president and CEO Nick Schneider, Avpro managing partner Chris Ellis and Dallas Jet International founder and CEO Brad Harris.
