HAECO takes inspiration from lotus for A319neo cabin
The Asian art deco cabin is a concept based on the lotus flower. Created for the A319neo, it can be adapted for Airbus, Boeing and other manufacturers’ aircraft types.
This first collaboration with MBG offers a simple, clean and comfortable design with an Oriental influence.

China-based HAECO Private Jet Solutions, a cabin specialist unit of HAECO Xiamen, has recently developed Lotus, a new cabin design concept for the Airbus A319neo aircraft. Taking inspiration from the lotus bloom, the Asian art deco cabin is jointly created by HAECO Xiamen and MBG International Design. This design is adaptable to Airbus, Boeing as well as other manufacturers' aircraft types.

The Lotus cabin aims to offer time-pressured business travellers and VIPs a practical, uncluttered and fluid living space as well as comfort in a modern and oriental-style surrounding, with a range of options for business and pleasure.

The cabin comes with two lounges and can carry up to 19 passengers. A signature feature is the iconic dual-purpose dining room at the centre of the cabin, which can be easily converted into a Mahjong area for guests to unwind and socialise after dinner.

This latest cabin design has been shortlisted in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023, the only design-focused award in the industry.

“We are delighted to introduce a brand-new cabin design that can be adapted to many aircraft types,” says HAECO Xiamen CEO Kevin Guan. “It is the first collaboration with MBG, offering a simple, clean and comfortable design with a touch of Oriental connotation.”

“Lotus is a cutting-edge design inspired by the oriental culture,” adds MBG CEO and creative director Nikki Gledhill. “Sharing common values on quality designs, we look forward to creating more timeless spaces with HAECO Xiamen in the future.”
