Aeroplex certified to NATA green standard
Aeroplex has self-certified its Long Beach and Van Nuys locations under NATA's sustainability standard for aviation businesses; the first airport developer to do so.

Aeroplex Group Partners has become the first airport developer to self-certify under NATA's Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses, a free industry standard designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase the use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste and encourage sustainability operation-wide.

“In all of our airport design programmes, we deliver first-class, sustainable facilities and amenities based on the latest best practices, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and other state/local standards,” says president and CEO Curt Castagna. “We collaborate and consult with our national business aviation clients and airports to address the unique needs of aircraft owners, operators and flight crews, while optimising opportunities for integrating rational sustainable development practices.”

A provider of aviation consulting, development, property management and project management services, Aeroplex certified both its Long Beach and Van Nuys general aviation and business aircraft centres in California under NATA's sustainability standard.

“We congratulate Aeroplex for achieving the Green Aviation Business tier at its Long Beach location and Green Aviation Business Tier 1 in Van Nuys, and are excited to see the standard adopted within the airport development sector,” adds NATA managing director of industry and regulatory affairs Megan Eisenstein. “Companies like Aeroplex and others participating in the programme are leading the way for aviation businesses interested in reducing their carbon footprint.”

Developed by a working group under NATA's Environment Committee, the NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses provides a process for pursuing flexible, cost-effective options to lower the carbon footprint of all aviation businesses.
