German heavy jet operator K5-Aviation has taken delivery of its first ACJ330-300 aircraft from Airbus Corporate Jets. K5-Aviation is the largest ACJ operator in Europe with four ACJ319s and one ACJ350-900 in its fleet.

The company has selected Woensdrech airport-based outfitter Fokker Techniek to install a 243 sqm VIP cabin.

K5 director Luca Madone says: “Fokker Techniek and K5-Aviation have a rich history with past projects, and this new contract is a continuation of our relationship. We fully believe in the strengths of Fokker Techniek; this agile organisation has proved its skills before, and we expect the same again on this much larger aircraft.”

Managing director and pilot Erik Scheidt adds: “We appreciate the direct lines with the knowledgeable engineering and production people plus their hands-on way of working. The whole project team is focused on delivering a great end-result. We have been accustomed to their skills in previous projects and will need same during the ACJ330 outfit.”

This is Fokker’s first wide body VIP completion.

“It’s really the next level, and we are very honoured that K5-Aviation has entrusted us with this prestigious project,” says co-CEO Roland van Dijk. “We have started preparations and will soon implement more changes to the company in order to keep up with the continuous growth in our aircraft completions and conversions segment. Our order book demands additional workforce and an increase of in-house activities.”
