Hangar expansion in Idaho opens for Western Aircraft
Western Aircraft's hangar is the first phase of a $17 million expansion and is part of the 93,000 square foot addition on Western's existing 18 acre leasehold at Boise Air terminal, Idaho.
Construction is still under way for the adjoining facility, which will provide 40,000 square feet of space for its avionics and interiors shops and administration offices.

Western Aircraft has completed the first phase of its $17 million expansion with the opening of a new 53,000 square foot hangar.

The hangar is part of the 93,000 square foot addition on Western's existing 18 acre leasehold at Boise Air Terminal, Idaho. Construction is still under way for the adjoining facility, which will provide 40,000 square feet of space for its avionics and interiors shops and administration offices. The second phase is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.

“This beautiful facility was designed with our current customers and prospective customers in mind,” says Austin Shontz, vice president and general manager for Western Aircraft. “Our culture is based around a customer-centric approach and personalised service, something that our growing base of Gulfstream, Cessna Citation and Embraer customers have embraced, spurring our need to construct more space to serve.”

Western, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, maintains a customer base from the United States and Canada and boasts a history of working on airframes including Citation, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker, King Air, Pilatus, Piper and Quest aircraft.
