Indian DGCA grants CAR approval to Academy 147
A new approval from the Indian DGAC allows Academy 147 to offer type rating courses on Bombardier, Gulfstream and Dassault Falcon business jets at B1 and B2 ratings to operators and MROs in India.

Academy 147, an independent maintenance training company headquartered in Malta and specialising in business jets, has reached a new milestone, having gained initial grant CAR 147 approval from the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation in March.

This approval allows Academy 147 to offer type rating courses on Bombardier, Gulfstream and Dassault Falcon business jets at B1 and B2 ratings to operators and MROs in India.

Accountable manager Andy Trinchero says: “This approval serves as a new breakthrough for our company and a testament to our international footprint that is continuously expanding. India is an exciting market for business aviation, with new aircraft being delivered and what looks to be a bright future ahead. We're excited to be a part of it.”

Academy 147 already hold Part 147 approvals from EASA, the UAE GCAA and CAAS in Singapore. Additionally it holds IA renewal training approval from the FAA.
