Kegley transfers to Hawthorne's Long Island location
While at Gateway USA, Chuck Kegley helped turn the business around from $8 million of debt, ultimately facilitating a successful sale. For his next challenge, he has become president of Hawthorne at MacArthur.

Hawthorne Global Aviation Services has named Chuck Kegley as president, based at the company's Long Island MacArthur airport location. He joins Hawthorne from Advanced Aviation Services, where he served as president, specialising in corporate aviation support services.

Throughout Kegley's career he has held key positions at FBOs in four western states with his most recent being president of Gateway USA, Clay Lacy Aviation. While there he was instrumental in managing the turnaround of an FBO that was $8 million in debt into a company that was successfully sold. Before joining Clay Lacy, Kegley was general manager of Galvin Flying Services of Seattle, Washington, a six-time Pro-Pilot Best Independent FBO. Prior to that, he was an engineer of record with Boeing Company for the B2 Spirit.

“Chuck brings a tremendous depth of experience in the general aviation services industry, including management of fixed base operations, aircraft charter and management, and aircraft maintenance organisations. We look forward to his help continuing to improve and streamline our business through these unprecedented times,” says Hawthorne CEO Bryon Burbage. “We remain committed to safe operations for our customers and employee's and Chuck's experience bringing Clay Lacy to IS-BAH status will only enhance that commitment.’

“I am thrilled to join the team here and to continue to build on Hawthorne's excellent reputation in our industry,” adds Kegley. “For private jet travellers, we have all of the elements to offer a successful private jet experience, from charter to hangarage, maintenance, FBO and management, providing superior customer service in all aspects of our business.”
