Heron adds Malaysia to list of AOCs
The Malaysian FAOC approval process consists of a review undertaken by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia. Heron was up to the mark, and a new AOC sits alongside its FAA and Transport Canada certificates.
Heron aircraft will be winging their way to Malaysia.

German operator Heron Aviation is expanding its capabilities with the receipt of a Malaysian Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC). Effective immediately, Heron is approved to provide commercial air transport to all international airports in Malaysia, allowing customers both current and new access to the best of southeast Asia.

In tandem with the company's FAA Part 129 FAOC certification in the United States and a Transport Canada FAOC certification in Canada, Heron is fast becoming a truly worldwide operator with expertise in operating to the furthest points across the globe.

The Malaysian Foreign Air Operator Certificate approval process consists of an intensive review undertaken by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM). Special consideration is paid to the strict navigation requirements of the country as well as crew duty control procedures. Working closely with CAAM authorities and personnel, Heron achieved its FAOC in record time, demonstrating a high level of regulatory cooperation and goodwill.

Accountable manager Martin Helbling says: “We continue to develop ourselves as an operator with an excellent reputation with authorities both home and abroad. Our ability to mobilise our staff and resources quickly allows us to immediately respond to any client request, whatever the need. At Heron Aviation, we like to open doors for our clients, and we're very proud to have this presence in southeast Asia. My utmost thanks for the Malaysian authority's gracious assistance during this process.”
