MT gains STC for quiet propeller on Kodiak 100
Due to its smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the Kodiak 100 series has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion. Reduced noise and engine wear are just two of the benefits, and TCCA approves.
As well as the operational benefits, the MTV-27 propeller lends the Kodiak ramp appeal.

MT-Propeller has received EASA STC for the Quiet Fan Jet MTV-27 composite propeller on the Quest Aircraft Design Kodiak 100 series from Transport Canada Civil Aviation.

MT-Propeller VP Martin Albrecht says that the installation features enhancements such as a 20 per cent improved takeoff, no propeller speed restrictions on ground while operating in low idle, lower ITTs during start-up for less engine wear, significant cabin noise of up to 5 dB(A)] and vibration reduction, ramp appeal, compliance with the German 2010 Landeplatz Lärmschutz Verordnung noise regulations for unrestricted airport operations in Germany and other European countries, and maximum rpm reduction to 2,000 rpm with increased torque for 750 shp.

Due to its smaller diameter the MT-Propeller for the Kodiak 100 series has more ground clearance for less blade tip erosion and FODs. The composite blades provide significant inside and outside noise reduction, have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They are also designed to provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration-free propeller operation, and have bonded on nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller has 30 propeller models from two-blade to seven-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5,000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.
