Duncan reenergises Meggitt battery agreement
In addition to repair and reblock capabilities, Duncan Aviation parts and rotable sales has an on-hand inventory of Securaplane batteries available for sale. Duncan has secured a three-year extension to its distribution deal.
Duncan Aviation has a 1,400 sq ft full-service aircraft battery shop in Lincoln, Nebraska, with battery cooler and diagnostic test sets.

Duncan Aviation has finalised a further three-year sales and service agreement with Meggitt for the supply of Securaplane Technologies. The company has been a distributor of Meggitt's Securaplane product line since 2005, and is one of only two in North America authorised to service, sell, and distribute the sealed lead acid main ship and emergency batteries.

“We have been a reliable distributor and repair centre for Securaplane products for many years. We worked closely together to renew our agreement tackling new distributor requirements,” says Kevin Miesbach, Duncan Aviation's components/OEM new business development manager. “In addition to being a distributor and MRO, we have assisted Meggitt's Securaplane Technologies with its supplemental type certificate efforts and government support.”
