Gestair ready to defy the elements following AESA approval
CAT II approval enables Gestair aircraft to land in low visibility conditions, reducing the need for passengers to have to relocate to alternative airfields. All of this makes flight planning a more straightforward process.

Spanish operator Gestair, which has a fleet of 37 aircraft, has obtained CAT II operations approval from Spain's Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) for landing operations in conditions of low visibility for its Global 6000 fleet.

This approval gives Gestair aircraft a greater operating capacity as it allows them to land in airports which, having the appropriate ground facilities available, are faced with poor visibilty due to adverse weather conditions. Without this approval, the flight to this airport would need to be cancelled and planned again, this time to another destination with more favourable conditions. Passengers are far less likely to have to relocate to an alternative airport thanks to the approval.
