The Netherlands-based technical services and support company JetSupport and Scandinavian Avionics, headquartered in Denmark, have signed a strategic partnership agreement, the main objective of which is to further expand the avionics business opportunities for both companies as well as all associated MRO activities.

The two companies have been collaborating already for several years, sharing many business and operational areas such as aircraft and component maintenance, repair and overhaul, upgrades and technical solutions. The strategic partnership agreement will enhance the offerings of JetSupport to its clients by giving them access to the extensive avionics capabilities of the SA Group, while the partnership will be able to offer one-stop-shop solutions for clients in the Benelux area to an extent not seen previously.

Scandinavian Avionics CEO Michael R Truelsen says: “There is no doubt that we have found in JetSupport a great partner for a wide range of combined offerings, and we look forward so much to exploring this further. One thing is the extensive capabilities of both our companies, however the true core of our combined solutions offered to the market is that we share the same values and mindset from a support and customer focus perspective.”

JetSupport will perform the very first European G5000 retrofit on a Citation Excel. Garmin’s G5000 is the new fully integrated flight deck retrofit for the Citation Excel and XLS; it is fully compliant with all future mandates and options. “We wish to congratulate JetSupport on securing the first European G5000 customer upgrade for the Citation Excel/XLS in Europe,” says Garmin vice president of aviation sales and marketing Carl Wolf. “We’ve seen a tremendous amount of interest for it in the Excel and XLS markets, and we continue to achieve certification milestones which align with an entry into service date early this summer.”

As an independent provider of MRO services and support solutions, JetSupport has been serving business aviation, special mission and commuter aircraft for over 17 years. Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, its professional focus is on flexibility, transparency and personal touch.

With a base maintenance facility at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, JetSupport has EASA, FAA and TCCA approvals and with multiple strategic dealerships and partnerships, it offers a broad package of technical service solutions to business aircraft.

Scandinavian Avionics (SA) provides turnkey avionics solutions for civil and military aircraft, helicopters and UAVs, including sales, avionics maintenance, certification, design and engineering, installation, product development, production, training and consultancy services.

The SA Group consists of 11 divisions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Its headquarters, established in 1978, are in Billund, Denmark.
