Two new board members have recently been voted in by Women in Aviation International members at the organisation's 30th annual membership meeting held in Long Beach, California.
Jeppesen industry relations manager Rhonda Larance has joined the board of Women in Aviation International.

Members of Women in Aviation International have voted Rhonda Larance and Shannon Weidekamp to the board. Each will serve a three-year term.

Larance is industry relations manager for Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, in Englewood, Colorado. With more than 15 years of experience managing global aviation marketing teams, Rhonda has held numerous leadership positions at Jeppesen since she joined the company in 1981. Her responsibilities include work with senior leaders and C-level executives; serving on industry and charity steering committees for fundraising; discovering and developing business growth opportunities and maintaining key VIP/celebrity, aviation industry and vendor relationships.

Weidekamp is the lead flight attendant manager and director of client services for Part 91 and 135 air charter and aircraft management company Crew Aviation in Louisville, Kentucky. She is also lead flight attendant instructor and co-curriculum developer for Flight Research in the Cabin Crew Upset Training programme. She is current co-chair of the NBAA Flight Attendant’s Committee, and a member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.

“Rhonda and Shannon bring years of experience, skills and wisdom to our board,” says WAI president Dr Peggy Chabrian. “We welcome them as our new board members as they join a group of talented aviation industry professionals who help guide and shape Women in Aviation International.”

Women in Aviation International is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing networking, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women and men who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
