COMAC displays ARJ21 and CBJ model in Shanghai
The ARJ21 and the CBJ were the subjects of focus for COMAC at this year's ABACE show. The CBJ is expected to compete well in the 12-29 seat category, while the ARJ21 fleet has now surpassed the 10,000 hour mark.
The ARJ21 has carried more than 320,000 passengers to date.

China Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC) took one of its ARJ21 aircraft serialisation products and a 1:10 ratio CBJ business jet split model to this year's ABACE air show. Cheng Fubo, member of the standing committee of the party committee of COMAC and deputy general manager, attended the opening ceremony.

The CBJ business jet has been designed to have a more spacious cabin space than other same-class models in the 12-29 seat category. It can incorporate VIP bedrooms, rest areas, conference areas, meeting areas and dining areas, according to the individual needs of customers. The cabin is equipped with a comfortable, tiltable, 330-degree swivel seat with an interactive entertainment systems, and a noise reduction design of 55 decibels creates a quiet cabin environment. The CBJ business jet also has excellent high-altitude performance and resistance to high crosswinds. Its typical cruising speed is Mach 0.78 to a range of up to 5,500 km.

The ARJ21's development has been smooth so far. The aircraft has been safely operated for more than 10,000 hours, has carried more than 320,000 passengers, and the number of operators has gradually increased. Since 2018, COMAC has been conducting business with a number of potential customers around CBJ business jets, and has held in-depth discussions on purchases and subsequent operating modes and support programmes.

COMAC also introduced its development and construction, CBJ business jet development and market development around aircraft products, project progress and customer service construction during ABACE.
