Universal Aviation's (UA) Costa Rica locations at San Juan and Liberia have earned IS-BAH accreditation. They are the company's third and fourth locations to become IS-BAH accredited after Singapore and London Stansted.

“This is a mark of distinction in our industry and sends a message to our customers that we are committed to the highest levels of safety, systems, training and security,” says UA Costa Rica managing director Delmark Muir. “We are proud that both of our locations here earned accreditation and look forward to continuing to ensure our clients’ mission success.”

IS-BAH is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers that features a fully documented and implemented safety management system (SMS). The IS-BAH protocol follows the same basic structure as the IS-BAO programme and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit programme. IS-BAH is the global industry standard for handlers and operators around the world to meet the coming SMS requirements from the ICAO.
