Aeróleo Táxi Aéreo finds high capacity cargo nets
When Rio de Janeiro-based Aeróleo Táxi Aéreo needed a certified cargo-carrying solution for its fleet of AW139s, Dart Aerospace answered the challenge, and with resounding success.
Aeróleo Táxi Aéreo has been part of the oil and gas industry for 40 years.

Aeróleo Táxi Aéreo, a provider of offshore transportation services in Brazil, has enhanced the cargo carrying capacity of its 13 AW139s through the purchase of Canadian aftermarket supplier Dart's certified AW139 high capacity cargo nets.

“Dart was in the right place at the right time to develop an effective, customised cargo net for Aeróleo's operations in Brazil, which had met, if not exceeded, their expectations,” says Dart's director of sales for the Americas Richard Plourde.

Certified with Brazil's national civil aviation agency, ANAC, the net is designed and manufactured at Dart's primary facility in Hawkesbury, Ontario, and adds 30 per cent more cargo capacity and an extra 160 Ibs to the load-carrying limit over OEM nets. These features, coupled with ease of installation, were instrumental in Aeróleo's decision the nets as its personnel have only eight minutes to unload and reload the cargo compartment when the aircraft lands on an oil platform.

Aeróleo has been an integral part of the oil and gas industry for more than 40 years. With more than 300,000 flight hours recorded, it supports a number of international companies operating in the area as well as Petrobras, Brazil's national oil and gas company. As well as flight support for onshore and offshore exploration, drilling and production activities, it provides air medical services, charter flights and flight support for various seismic operations.

Dart Aerospace is a privately held company providing design, manufacturing and market-certified solutions for the helicopter and aerospace industry. It holds over 900 STCs and 4,500 products for a portfolio of mission equipment and related services, replacement parts and tooling for civil and military operators, all major rotorcraft OEMs, completion centres and MRO facilities. Key products include flotation systems, landing gears, interior and exterior accessories, cargo expansion, external loads, cable cutters and filters. Its engineering and manufacturing enters deliver solutions with customer support in over 120 countries worldwide.
