WestAir spreads its wings internationally with Challenger
Western Aircraft is full-service in the true sense with maintenance, completions, FBO and aircraft sales on site at Boise. Now it is also extending the scope of its aircraft management and charter capabilities.
The Challenger brings coast-to-coast and international trips within range for WestAir.

Boise, Idaho-based WestAir Charter has added a Challenger 300 to its Part 135 air carrier and operator certificate.

"This is a huge accomplishment for our team," says parent company Western Aircraft's vp of aircraft sales and charter management Phil Winters. "The entire WestAir team worked hard to update our operating specifications for jet operating approval, and we are excited about the growth opportunities."

WestAir's charter fleet has until now consisted of late model Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. The addition of the Challenger 300 allows the company to expand from short/medium range regional trips appropriate for the PC-12 to longer range trips enabled by the business jet.

Winters adds: 'We strive to meet the needs of our clients. Much of their travel requires a mid-size jet cabin and longer range; adding the Challenger 300 to our fleet puts us in a better position to meet and exceed their expectations.'

In addition to charter, WestAir is also handling the jet's aircraft management, ensuring that all aspects of operation and safety are handled from maintenance to flight crew to FAA regulatory compliance.

WestAir Charter has aircraft based in Idaho, Washington and California.
