Falcon Aviation of Abu Dhabi has entered into service an offshore-configured AW169 which will carry out oil and gas missions for Total ABK. It is the first operator in UAE to use the type in this configuration and the first Leonardo customer worldwide to fly it for offshore oil and gas transportation.

“Falcon Aviation and Total ABK are complying with the safety standards of the oil and gas industry, and safety is our number one priority,” explains Falcon CEO Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, pictured fourth from left with the Total management team. “Using the AW169 helps to maintain our high standards.” The operator has placed orders for two AW169s, the second being in a VVIP transport configuration.
