Catreus takes on second M2 to increase charter capacity

London Biggin Hill-based Catreus has taken delivery of a second Citation M2 which will be available for charter. “The owners are not going to be using it a great deal, which gives us more control over the charter side,” says MD Cy Williams. “They want it to be used more for charter than they are using it, which is quite unusual as a lot of my owners want to use their aircraft for 300 hours a year, and only want 100 hours a year charter. But this gives us a lot more availability and flexibility.”

The operator welcomed its first M2 last year. “It was an aircraft that was unknown in the market because it sat between the Mustang and the CJ2; we didn't know how it was going to pan out,” continues Williams. “But in the end we were turning away more work than we were actually doing. Having this additional one has been very welcome, because I think there is still quite a good demand on lighter jets.”
