Bombardier Business Aircraft is opening a new, wholly-owned service centre in the London area at Biggin Hill airport using the former Rizon Jet facility. The centre will offer complete tip-to-tail heavy maintenance, and will complement the OEM's UK service and support network.

Featuring 3,065 sqm of hangar space and set to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2016, the facility will be equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, avionics installations, and AOG assistance for Learjets, Challengers and Globals. It will also bolster the parts presence of the manufacturer in the region.

“Enhancing our service and support in the UK is a top priority, as our aircraft installed base in the region is significant and growing,” says VP and general manager of customer services Andy Nureddin. “This expan-sion establishes our presence in the London area, providing our customers with greater flexibility, industry-leading maintenance support and access to our entire network, including our large inventory of parts.”

Biggin Hill airport director Robert Walters adds: “We are delighted that Bombardier Business Aircraft has chosen London Biggin Hill Airport to establish its first company owned and operated service centre in the UK. This facility will offer top maintenance support to operators in the region.”

The London service centre will complement a Bombardier owned centre in Amsterdam and a line maintenance station in Nice, France. Bombardier customers have access to a network of nearly 50 authorised service facilities around the world.
