Two South African clients have placed orders for the Marenco Swisshelicopter SKYe SH09. Two units were signed for by Saphire Blue and another was confirmed by businessman David Gold.

Hot and high specialist Saphire Blue is a newly-formed operator and has been engaged in discussions with Marenco over the SH09 since HeliExpo 2015. Its latest helicopters will be based at Nelspruit airport and Grand Central airport in Midrand, South Africa. The Saphire Blue team visited the facilities of Marenco Swisshelicopter at Mollis airport in Switzerland and were impressed.

Marenco MD Martin Stucki believes that the potential market in southern Africa for the SKYe SH09 is ready for an innovative company that can provide new technology helicopters backed up by a personal and professional service. “We are ideally positioned to respond to the demands of this market,” he says.
