Baltic academy to increase training output with P2006T investment

Lithuanian aviation training centre Baltic Aviation Academy is expanding its fleet by purchasing an additional Tecnam P2006T twin. The aircraft will allow students to complete MEP training in a faster and more efficient manner while the academy continues to grow its student intake.

The academy purchased its first P2006T in June 2014 as part of a five aircraft order which nearly doubled its training capacity. The latest addition brings the fleet, which is used for ab initio training, to 12 aircraft.

“Currently we have over 100 students at our academy that are going to need MEP training, and so providing sufficient access to multi-engine aircraft is very important, especially for those who are about to graduate with their licences,” comments ceo Egle Vaitkeviciute. “This is also a step towards the fulfilment of planned growth and expansion plans.”

Deputy head of training Jaroslav Vostrikov adds that the Italian products have a very favourable quality to price ratio: “The market for training aircraft is not huge, therefore we choose the company which manufactures both single and multi-engine aircraft. It means smoother training for students and, of course, simpler maintenance processes.”

Baltic Aviation Academy is an EASA approved aviation training organisation. Its head office and training headquarters are located in Vilnius, Lithuania, and it provides ab initio and type rating pilot training, helicopter pilot training and cabin crew and ground handling courses to clients from Europe, CIS, Africa, Latin America and Asia.
