Bel Air Aviation of Holsted, Denmark, has signed a support by the hour agreement with Microturbo for the e-APU60 on its AW189 helicopters, which it currently operates in the oil and gas sector.

This five-year agreement will provide Bel Air with a fixed price 'by the hour' full maintenance service. Anticipated benefits include technical and logistical assistance, greater safety, availability and flexibility.

“We believe in having the full support of the OEMs and this will increase the safety and reliability of the product,” says ceo Susanne Hesselund. “With this support, and with our experienced colleagues, we firmly believe that the AW189 will be a success.”

Half of the worldwide fleet of AW189s benefits from the Microturbo support by the hour agreement. The e-APU60 is charac-terised by its impressive power-to-weight ratio, compactness, reliability and cost of ownership.
