EASA STC for Britten Norman BN-2-() series with four-blade MT-Propellers MTV-14

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received EASA STC 10063741 for the four-blade natural composite propellers MTV-14-B-C-F/CF190-17 on the Britten Norman models BN2, BN2A, BN2A-2, BN2A-6,-8, -9,-20, -21, -26, -27, BN2B-20, BN2B-21, BN2B-26, BN2B-27 powered by Lycoming ( )-540-series engines.

MT-Propeller president Gerd Muehlbauer says, that the installation features the following advantages:

- General slightly enhanced performance

- Approx. 44 lbs less weight than the original three-blade propellers

- Approx. same weight compared to theoriginal two-blade propellers

- No life limited parts

- Reduced inside and outside noise for more flying comfort

- Reduced vibration for less fatigue

- Cowling modification can be done according to MT work instruction.

The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.

MT-Propeller is the world leading natural composite propeller manufacturer with 30 propeller models from two-blade to seven-blade hydraulically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 5000hp, and two-blade to four-blade electrically controlled variable pitch propellers for engines producing up to 350hp as well as two blade fixed pitch propellers.
