ASD Avia Consulting is pleased to announce that Argos VIP and its entire network of fixed base operation (FBOs) facilities across Italy have chosen ASD Avia Consulting to handle their International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). Argos VIP operates 15 FBO facilities in Italy, all of which operate under one unified safety and quality management system.

The auditing of each FBO will take place within the next months, starting with the station in Milan Linate in November, 2017.

The International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers, which features at its core a safety management system (SMS). IS-BAH follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) programme and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit programme. IS-BAH is the global industry standard for handlers and operators around the world to meet the coming SMS requirements from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

IS-BAH offers fixed base operators and business aircraft handling agents (BAHA) a scalable, industry-developed code of best practice centered around safety management system principles adopted by ICAO and other operations-critical industries. Conforming to these standards and recommended practices is voluntary.
