Voom and Cabify partner to provide travelers the ultimate in convenience

Voom and Cabify, two companies which share a common mission to improve the urban travel experience, today announced their partnering to deliver a seamless ground-to-air travel experience. The partnership, named “CabiFly” and which has officially launched in São Paulo, will enable Paulistanos to book door-to-door, intra-city travel.

Voom, which recently marked 100 days of operation in São Paulo, aims to make helicopter travel an affordable reality, democratizing access to a mode of transport that, until recently, was out of reach for most people. Cabify has focused on revolutionizing ground transportation and shared mobility in Brazil for the past year, growing more than 20% month-over-month, whilst offering transportation alternatives that are best suited for each city where it operates. Between the shared mission and complimentary progress in Brazil, Voom and Cabify are a natural fit for a partnership of this nature.

“Voom is on a mission to make helicopter travel accessible and affordable, while providing a great customer experience. We are thrilled to partner with Cabify to provide a door-to-door travel experience for passengers. São Paulo is one of the best cities in the world for urban air travel, and we are delighted to provide an experience that improves the lives of locals and visitors alike,” says Uma Subramanian, CEO of Voom.

“At Cabify, we are adding more and more mobility alternatives to become the preferred last-mile platform. We want to offer new travel options that, in addition to improving travel times, help improve the quality of life of the citizens of the markets where we operate,” added Daniel Bedoya, country manager at Cabify Brasil.

CabiFly is easy to use. From the Cabify app, passengers will be shown a “CabiFly” helicopter option, alongside other ground transport options. Once selected, passengers will be taken to the Voom mobile site to book their flights. Passengers can book and take off in as little as 60 minutes or up to 7 days in advance. Passengers then travel to the departure helipad via Cabify. Finally, they fly to their destination with Voom and are picked up upon landing by Cabify. All Cabify customers within the city limits of São Paulo will see the helicopter option in the Cabify app. Cabify customers can fly with Voom Monday through Saturday, 7.00am to 8.00pm local time.

To try CabiFly, log in or download the Cabify app on iOS or Android.
