Press Release
Issued by Geneva Airpark.
March 28, 2017
Geneva Airpark's covered parking activities for business jets and associated range of services once again registered an increase in 2016, despite a slowdown in traffic generated by business aviation that has been going on for several years at Geneva Airport.
The occupancy rate of the parking area was ever more decisive in 2016. For the year as a whole (all aircraft combined) Geneva Airpark's hangar recorded an average occupied surface area of 9,300 m2 out of the 10,000 m2 total space. This annual average confirmed the trend noted in the first quarter.
17 aircraft per day, on average, and up to 24 planes were hosted by the company's infrastructure, which is directly accessible from the runway.
Geneva Airpark also expanded its clientele in 2016 with 18 new customers, representing over 32% of active clients on a daily basis.
And they have remained loyal. Over 20% of its new clients from 2015 continued to use Geneva Airpark's services, such as custom aircraft cleaning and on site laundry, in 2016.
These figures reflect the interest in Geneva Airpark's tailor-made solutions and the quality and precision of its services from a non-Geneva-based clientele that is difficult to retain.
