Zela Aviation is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Assariotis to its team. Michael will focus on ACMI activity as well as aviation consulting.

Michael is a holder of an MSc degree in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and a BSc in Marketing and International Trade from State University of New York as well as a higher level Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism from the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus (HHIC).

His professional career spans over 15 years between New York, London, Greece and Cyprus and the positions that compose his employment history exposed him to many key facets of the aviation industry, making him knowledgeable in airline and airport operations, aviation security and safety, quality customer service and especially airline management, sales and marketing.

In his last role prior to joining Zela Aviation, Michael had been involved with the licensing of water aerodromes and a seaplane start up in Greece where his contribution as VP and general manager was pivotal for the setup of the airline from writing the business plan and presenting the project to investors to negotiating and liaising with the government authorities for the licencing of the water aerodromes and more specifically writing the security, emergency and operating manuals according to the directives of the CAA (National Security Program), national safety regulations and the technical security and ICAO directives.

Andreas Christodoulides, owner of Zela Aviation comments, “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Michael with Zela Aviation as he is a seasoned aviation professional able to meet our customers’ high standards and our quest for excellent service”.
