Vertis clients to benefit from US Border Overflight Exemption (BOE)

Switzerland-based Vertis Aviation is pleased to announce that it's operating partner, Germany headquartered K5-Aviation GmbH has received its US Border Overflight Exemption (BOE) for flights returning to the United States from south of the border. This exemption which is effective immediately includes flights arriving into the USA from the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America and French Polynesia. Five aircraft in the eleven-strong, long range Vertis fleet are covered by the exemption including the Bombardier Global Express, Global XRS and three Airbus Corporate Jets.

Vertis' clients will benefit by avoiding unnecessary stops and lengthy delays at busy border airports of entry. For crew and passengers this will result in a more seamless and efficient journey. It will also result in much improved operational flexibility and cost savings for the company.

Commenting on the exemption, Jeffery Emmenis, partner at Vertis Aviation said: “Our operating partner's BOE is a valuable asset in improving operational flexibility. The flexibility to land and clear customs at any US airport that has customs and border protection services will considerably enhance operational flexibility. We are very pleased to be able to offer even greater flexibility and efficiency to our clients.”

K5-Aviation worked with the US authorities over a three month period to secure the exemption certificate.

Vertis Aviation will be exhibiting at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva during 19-21 May on stand Q090.
