DC Aviation GmbH to celebrate its 15th company anniversary this year

DC Aviation GmbH will celebrate its 15 year company anniversary this year. Having received its AOC from the German civil aviation authority, Luftfahrtbundesamt in October 1999, the company is now Germany's largest business jet operator and one of the leading operators in Europe. With branch operations in Dubai, Zurich, Malta and Moscow, the company's international presence is ever increasing.

DC Aviation originated in the year 2007 from the former DaimlerChrysler Aviation, a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, which was established in 1999. During the course of the company's history, DC Aviation has gathered extensive experience in the field of aircraft management. DC Aviation currently presents a complete portfolio, commencing with aircraft management and extending to airplane charters, consulting services and the maintenance of business jets.

The young fleet consists of modern Cessna Citations Type XLS+, long-distance jets such as the Gulfstream G550, and aircraft with large cabins such as the Airbus 319 CJ. The present range of products and services supports the dynamic growth strategy of the company in western and eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. This makes the company optimally equipped for current and future developments on the world market.

Special attention is therefore being focused on the new installation at the Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA). The facility encompasses a 5,700-square-meter, ultra-modern hangar – sufficient space to accommodate four aircraft of the types ACJ or BBJ of the airliner business jet category, as well as two ultra-long-distance business jets. The 1,300-square-meter exclusive lounge area is designed for local, regional, and international vvip customers and provides the highest level of comfort and personal space, as well as shower areas, a large conference room and an exclusive, contemporary atmosphere. Customers can also enjoy the extra advantage of a separate parking area that spans 7,700 square meters, as well as separate security processing on site.

In July 2007, DC Aviation was the first German business jet operator to be awarded the international "IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA)” certificate. This makes DC Aviation the only operator of business jets established in Germany that can continue to show proof of having maintained the highest safety standards at the demanding airline level for many years, thanks to the IOSA certificate. The quality and safety standards of DC Aviation therefore extend far beyond the basic national and international legally prescribed requirements. Besides DC Aviation, only three other business jet operators are IOSA certified.
