MCM Maintenance Centre Malta

Press Release

Issued by MCM Maintenance Centre Malta.

December 17, 2012

M.C.M. Group awarded Bermuda AMO status

Last week, during MEBA 2012, M.C.M. Maintenance Centre Malta Ltd. (a member of the M.C.M. Group) received an aircraft maintenance organisation (AMO) approval from the Department of Civil Aviation of Bermuda.

This approval allows the organisation to perform scheduled line maintenance in Malta, Nigeria and Hong Kong on Bermuda registered aircraft. The types of aircraft this approval covers include Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global series, Cessna jets, Dornier, and Gulfstream.

Nick Ebenhoeh, head of marketing, had to add "This approval compliments our EASA and NCAA approvals which provide scheduled line maintenance in our facilities offering potential clients flexible and cost efficient maintenance solutions. Each of our locations includes battery and wheels work shops. We have strategically selected the Bermuda approval due to the high demand in Europe, Africa and Asia. Since the Bermuda registration is utilized by a large number of operators in various regions, we can now perform maintenance on their aircraft where they operate rather than requiring them to return their aircraft to its base. This ultimately saves our clients large sums of money on fuel costs and decreases ground time. Additionally, we can dispatch a MRT to a Bermuda registered AOG anywhere in the world and return the aircraft back to service. We had executed our first maintenance event on a Bermuda registered aircraft, in Nigeria, the day after receiving the approval."
