DEA has reached agreement with Gamston Aviation Ltd, owners of Gamston Airport (EGNE), to base all its operations at the airport. DEA is taking a 2,500 sq ft office building together with a co-located 8,000sq ft heated hangar.

Several of DEA's staff are relocating to the area as part of the agreement.

As DEA has already operated most of its aircraft from Gamston for the last two years, the move consolidates a split site operation.

Relocation of office personnel will commence in January with a closure of the Keepers Cottage based operations by end of March 2012.

As a result of having flight crews, ground operations and maintenance co-located, service and response times will be improved further.

The heated hangar will allow Part 145 maintenance operations to be conducted in situ on DEA aircraft, improving servicing times and reducing down time.

It is expected that the new facilities will also host a number of DEA's partners' satelitte operations as well.
