Dassault's Falcon 900LX receives certification from China

Dassault Falcon recently received certification for the Falcon 900LX from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC). The Falcon 900LX joins the rest of the Falcon 900 family already certified in China. The Falcon 7X and the Falcon 2000 family are certified by the CAAC as well. The first Falcon 900LX will be delivered in China by the end of this year.

"China continues to embrace business aviation at a rapid pace, and aircraft like the Falcon 900LX are ideally suited to the demanding landscape of that vast country," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. "We have been rapidly increasing our support capabilities for operators in the region, including appointing more Authorized Service Centers, positioning additional spare parts inventory and establishing a regional sales office in Beijing last year."

About the Falcon 900LX

The 4,750 nm large-cabin Falcon 900LX is the most efficient airplane in its class with other aircraft burning as much as 60% more fuel for a given mission. Built on the Falcon 900EX EASy platform, it includes a pair of high-Mach blended winglets that help reduce aircraft drag as much as 5%, contributing to range and efficiency improvements. Time to climb to cruise altitude is also reduced by 10%. At its Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW), the Falcon 900LX climbs to FL390 (39,000 feet) in just 20 minutes. And the three engine design on the Falcon 900LX not only improves short field performance, it also is an added peace of mind on long over water flights.

The Falcon 900LX offers the same spacious, quiet interior as the 900EX but with an expanded list of city pairs. It can connect London to Beijing, New York to Sao Paulo, Moscow to Tokyo, Hong Kong with Sydney. The Falcon 900LX was first announced in May of 2008 at EBACE and received certification from both the EASA and the FAA in July of 2010.
