Bombardier Aerospace inaugurates its first wholly-owned European service centre

Bombardier Aerospace today held an inauguration event to officially open its new service centre at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The facility, which has been operational since February 22, 2010, features 4,240 sq. meters (45,639 sq. feet) of hangar space, includes a staff of approximately 50 employees and is equipped to perform a variety of light to heavy maintenance tasks.

"As the international business jet market continues to expand, so must our international services footprint," said Michael McQuay, President, Bombardier Aircraft Service Centres. "This is Bombardier's first wholly-owned service centre outside of North America. It will become a cornerstone of our comprehensive customer services offerings in the region, which include aircraft training, the PartsExpress delivery service and our mobile response teams providing rapid on-site support."

This first international addition to the Bombardier-owned aircraft service centre network complements the company's eight facilities in North America. The European service centre will enable the company to better support the growing fleet of Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft based in Europe.
