Omni Executive Aviation

Press Release

Issued by Omni Executive Aviation.

April 30, 2009

The OMNI Aviation Group contracts new CCO and reinforces its international ambitions

The OMNI Aviation Group, composed of 18 companies active in the aviation sector, with yearly revenue of 180 million Euro and 700 employees, has recently expanded its top management with the nomination of Stefan Buschle, who will assume the function of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at group level.

Stefan Buschle was born in Germany in 1969, but raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he finished his school education. He returned to Germany to graduate in Engineering and Business Administration, before starting his career in commercial aviation.

He joined the Lufthansa Group, in Frankfurt / Germany, taking responsibility for several projects during his eight years employment at the German national carrier, working mainly with the Star Alliance (the leading international airline alliance) and managing the relationship with the German regional partners.

In 2004, Stefan Buschle accepted a new challenge, and became Director of Business Development with Cirrus Airlines, a regional operator serving German and European routes in code share with Lufthansa and Swiss Air Lines. One year later he was nominated Managing Director of Cirrus Aviation, the executive aviation operator within the Cirrus Group. In shortest time, Cirrus Aviation converted from a local operator to the leading German player in executive aviation.

During the merger of Cirrus Aviation with the former DaimlerChrysler Aviation, creating the new DC Aviation, Stefan Buschle successfully integrated the teams and led the transfer of the headquarters of the new company to Stuttgart / Germany, where he became one of 3 members of the executive board.

With his nomination for the newly created CCO post, Stefan Buschle reinforces the growth and development objectives of the OMNI Aviation Group.

From the very beginning, his target is to focus on the image of the group, transmitting to the market the high level of know-how and capability offered, which is not obvious at first sight: with more than 50 aircraft (planes and helicopters), 700 staff, operating from Portugal, France, Brazil and Cape Verde, OMNI is among the leading aviation groups in Europe. This will be the key message of the new communication strategy.

At the same time, the new CCO will emphasize on the executive aviation sector, focusing on the development of the three companies of the group directly involved: OMNI Aviação in Lisbon, Aero Services in Paris, and White Airways, the Portuguese operator of the Airbus fleet. With the experience and know-how gained in twenty years of existence, the OMNI Group shall expand the synergies among the various companies of the group. Besides the growth of the charter market share, the acquisition of new clients for aircraft management is an important goal, enabling a fleet expansion and cost sharing with reduced financial risks for the Group.

Perfectly matching the philosophy of OMNI Aviation Group, Stefan Buschle is firmly convinced that to be successful on the market, it is fundamental to offer the highest standards of service and customer orientation. Despite the crisis, there are numerous opportunities in emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia, which can only be successfully addressed if customer's expectations are exceeded.

Founded in 1988, OMNI has rapidly grown into a group of companies, acting in the areas of executive and commercial aviation, charter and wetlease opearation, aircraft management, medical evacuation, handling, maintenance, flight school and staff training, and aviation consulting.
