GE Aviation extends authorized service center agreement with RUAG Aviation

GE Aviation and RUAG Aviation have extended their authorized service center (ASC) agreement for GE CF34-3 and CF-34-10E engines.

In 2016, GE partnered with RUAG Aviation based on the two firms' longstanding relationship, and the ability of RUAG Aviation to deliver quick response times while also confirming vast in-house expertise, a strong track record and a broad service portfolio.

“RUAG Aviation has developed a solid reputation as a service provider for business jets, and this agreement will continue to allow them to increase support capabilities for our customers in Europe with Bombardier Challenger series and Embraer Lineage 1000 aircraft powered by GE CF34 engines,” said Brad Mottier, vice president and general manager of GE Aviation's Business & General Aviation and Integrated Systems organization.

Customers in Europe will continue to benefit from an expanded range of services at RUAG, which includes line and base maintenance, fleet support, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), aircraft painting, cabin refurbishment and restyling, and avionics upgrades. Furthermore, as a one-stop shop provider, RUAG Aviation can carry out multiple services and upgrades, including last-minute requests, during the same downtime, keeping costs and time to a minimum.

“Renewing our partnership with GE as an authorized GE service center emphasizes and strengthens the portfolio of services we continue to offer. We are pleased to remain in close cooperation with General Electric in support of our European customers,” says Volker Wallrodt, senior vice president business jets, Dornier 228 and components, RUAG Aviation.

GE Aviation has more than 50 authorized service network sites across the globe for business and general aviation for M601, H80, CFM56, Passport and CF34 engines. This network enables customers to have access to OEM-quality service and support around the world.

GE Aviation has been named the number one service provider for business jet engine support. AIN magazine readers ranked GE Aviation number one in its 2016 and 2017 Product Support Survey for business jets.

Since its service entry in 1983 on the Challenger 601 business jet, the CF34 has earned an industry-leading reputation as one of the cleanest, quietest and most fuel-efficient engines in its class. These rugged, airliner-class powerplants set a new standard in corporate aviation for reliability and low maintenance costs.

Across the CF34 family, GE has delivered more than 6,000 engines and continuously invests in product enhancements. Today, CF34 engines are in service with 200 operators in more than 70 countries.
