GlobeAir celebrates 10th anniversary in green

Leading air taxi operator GlobeAir, known for its world's largest fleet of Citation Mustang jet, it is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2018 by paying tribute to the environment.

GlobeAir has proudly embraced an environmental-friendly approach which spans different areas:

- Compensation for carbon emissions as explained by the Carbon Offset Programme

- Paper-free cockpit thanks to the introduction of completely digital flight plans delivered by the innovative Taillog Blue Clap Group

- Focus on logistics, by optimizing flight schedules and crew positioning that results in reduced fuel consumption.

In particular, thanks to the strong partnership with Victor, passengers flying on a GlobeAir private jet flight collect credits at no additional cost and save a forest all in one go.

This is the fundamental idea that lies behind the recently launched Carbon Offset Programme, which GlobeAir is proud to be one of the first to join. The Programme, which has been just launched by Victor after a trial year, is promoted by Air BP and BP Target Neutral, which has set aside a certain number of carbon credits for it.

As part of the initiative and at no additional cost, passengers who charter a private jet with GlobeAir can collect carbon credits that will be donated to one of the different offset programs conceived by BP Target Neutral in adherence with The International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA).

Offset programs such as these support forest protection, gas switching and the building of cookstoves, biodigesters or hydro powers in different continents of the world.

According to recent discussions by CORSIA, the International Civil Aviation Organization's global scheme for carbon offsetting and reduction, aircraft operators will be required to offset their carbon emissions which exceed the average baseline emissions of 2019 and 2020 at their own expense. This deliberation will be voluntary between 2021-2026 and become mandatory thereafter.

By adhering to the Carbon Offset Programme launched by Victor, GlobeAir is aiming at being on track and prepared to meet these critical environmental objectives.

GlobeAir's adherence to Victor's Carbon Offset Programme is not the only corporate responsible initiative that the company is promoting.

Thanks to close cooperation, GlobeAir will be exhibiting together with Air BP at The European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) on May 29-31 at booth B29.
