Scottish flight school Tayside Aviation invests in Alsim ALX

Alsim is pleased to announce the sale of an ALX (multi engine piston, light turboprop, medium turboprop and medium jet) to Tayside Aviation, a flight school located in Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom. The flight school already owns an Alsim device, the AL200 MCC.

Mr. Jim Watt, Tayside Aviation's managing director, explains why its school selected Alsim's ALX: “We decided to choose Alsim's ALX as we have been a customer of Alsim for over ten years and we know the quality of the device and the reliability of its simulators. The ALX is a high quality device and the versatility of the simulator will allow us to develop an MPL with our partner airline."

Tayside Aviation is Scotland's premier flight school and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

Tayside Aviation received the Royal Air Force Central Flying School Trophy 'in recognition of significant and outstanding contribution to excellence in the delivery of flying training and instructional standards'. Tayside Aviation has held the RAF flying scholarship contract for 30 years continuously.

At the heart of the company is the new BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice degree, the first of its kind available in Scotland, in conjunction with Middlesex University. Tayside also have a Pilot Placement Programme with Loganair who are involved in the BSc Degree course.

Tayside Aviation delivers the full time ATPL theory courses as well as the modular ATPL and Flying Instructor courses.
